Breaking a baseball bat over my head.

Hello everyone,

I have been super busy, making things happen. I’m not one to sit around and watch tv, pay attention to negative junk and just skate through life.

I often have to force myself to stop working and just relax.
I love my life and make the most out of every, waking second of the day.

My wife, my gym/clients, my dogs, training and my fans are the most important things to me in this world. I try and make those things mentioned a priority everyday.

Along with those things here is what I have coming up for you:

Guest posts by:
Iron Tamer Dave Whitley, Master Kettlebell Instructor
Jedd Johnson, grip monster and one of the men behind the Diesel Crew.
Bud Jeffries spreaker, strongman and one of my mentors.
You can learn more about these great guys here:

Ebook- How to be a Real Man: focuses on my passion of helping men step up and rise up to be a maximized man. One of great character, humility and respect.

Ebook- How to start a gym with practically no money: This is a course that tells you exactly what I did to get my gym up off the ground. How I went from a commercial gym, to a 2 car garage with very little money and how 4 yrs later I have expanded twice and am living my dream.
I hold nothing back and give you my exact blueprint of how, why and what I did.

New ebook just started called Tenatively called The War Machine: This is a book focusing on the Warrior at his highest level, being immersed into the nature of being a leader who has the best combination of mind, body and spirit. It also comes with one of the hardest workouts I had ever done over my 25yrs in the trenches. This workout plan alone will turn you into the very best you can be, a War Machine, (of course always a gentleman)

And last but not least my continued pursuit of a 675lbs deadlift.

So stay tuned, check out the new website www.mikethemachine.com the store will be up and running very soon. We have had some technical issues with it. The new site is awesome!

TNT-2 DVD cover art.

Coming in mid-late Spring 2012. I will update when it is ready for release.

This is a workout for my young “hardgainers” out there.

It is to be done 3 days per week and consists of 5 exercises.
Your goal is to increase the weight 5-10lbs each week.
I want you to drink 2-3 liters of whole or Almond Milk per day mixed with your protein shake.

These exercises can be switched to fit your taste, but make sure you substitute with compound movements.

Deadlifts

Any form of deadlift will put mounds of muscle on your body with the right eating plan.

Chin ups of various grips

Dips

Vertical dips are one of the best exercises to build upper body size and strength.

Barbell shrugs
Overhead Dumbbell swing

All exercises should be done for 5 sets of 5 or if you are really seasoned you can do 3 sets of 3.

Both methods will gain you new found strength and size.

Did you know that if you have a bodypart that may be lagging compared to the rest of your body that you can make them a priority?

Place additional emphasis on these weak areas by doing them more often in your workout.

Take your forearms for example: do them twice per week instead of only once.
(many people don’t even work the forearms or calf muscles)

Another way to excentuate the growth of stubborn bodyparts is by incorporating more sets on the exercises for that muscle.

Prioritize the weak spots and you shall begin to bring them up to par with the rest of your physique.

Be Authentic

Posted: 01/17/2012 in Rumblings

The greatest gift you can give to someone is YOU.

Don’t waist your time trying to be someone else, you will never get the respect you so desire. To be Authentic simply look in the mirror there is only one of you and that is as real as it gets.

Who are you?

Stay tuned for our next Maximized Man series where I will cover this very thing.

Motivating Tip

This is a great poem by Jack Lalanne.

Read it…..Absorb it and really think about it.

He was so ahead of his time.

You’re the handicap you must face.
You are the one who must choose your place.
You must say where you want to go.
How much you will study the truth to know.
God has equipped you for life.
But he lets you decide what you want to be.

That is inspiring.

Jack Lalanne: The man-the myth-the legend.
